ATTENTION- The flights that we are on for the trip will not have electrical power available unless we are   resourceful and make friends with someone in first or business class.  While the United web site says that   some flights do have power in all seating classes, our aircraft is not equipped with this option.

On a more positive note, Thank You to Jim for subconsciously or fatefully scheduling the order of the trip to go   from South Korea to Japan and then home.  Since we are traveling in this order we will all be able to buy 40lbs   of memories on the trip thanks to a weird twist in United’s international checked luggage policies.  I have   paste the link below for anyone who wants more info, but essentially the limit is 50lbs per bag with a 2 bag   allowance per passenger from ATL to Seoul, but then the weight limit increases to 70lbs from Seoul to Japan   and Japan back to ATL.

I think that will cancel out any negative feelings towards our semi Amish transportation amenities.
